All In A Days Work..

Today, I started by meeting a local tow company/repair business to diagnose an issue where the tow truck had no low beams. So, I hooked up my nifty lil ohms meter which indicated that the voltages that were going to the bulb for the high and low functions weren't the standard 12V.

My next project was an '03 Mercury Grand Marquis, this vehicle also coincidentally enough didn't have working head lights. From previous experience I knew there was a recall on the LCM relays that are above the gas pedal. This is a issue because the foot constantly hits the LCM causing the solder points to get worn and eventually causing the headlamps to stop functioning. If you have an issue such as this, Ford will confirm if the recall or repair has been performed if you call their 1800 number and give them the VIN.

The next vehicle was an '01 Honda Accord with a check engine light for the heated 02 sensor bank 1. This 02 sensor normally goes bad because the vehicle is driven through high water level and the sensor takes in water, the voltage reading sent to the computer is incorrect and the 02 sensor is sometimes destroyed. Occasionally this code can be deleted and the H02 sensor will function properly and the code will not come back.

The last vehicle before closing up shop early was an '03 Hyundai Accent with a bad 02 sensor and fuel sending unit sensor causing you to get a bad reading to your fuel tank.
